We took little Goofy over to Grandma and Grandpa Dowdle's last night for Halloween. Zachary got to play with his cousins Carter and Clara who, as you can see, where respectively Luke and Leia Skywalker.

Happy Halloween!
Zachary's first Halloweeen. We were so excited to get him a fun costume that we bought this Goofy costume online a full month and a half ahead of Halloween, then, much to our shagrin, a few weeks ago we found the exact same costume at the Disney Outlet Store near our home for 40% off. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. He sure looks cute though. Below are also some additional picture of his trip to the pumpkin patch with aunt Julianne and cousin Jack. Happy Halloween everyone.

BYU vs TCU 2008
This last week we took Zachary to his first BYU Football game. No sooner than second we got into the stadium and started to find our seats, the tears and crying began. I think Zachary and Marianne spent a whopping total of 7 minutes in our actual seats before getting up and walking out to the concourse. So pretty much from the end of the first quarter on we watched the game from one of the end zones behind all the seats on the walkway. I think the crazy cougar fans on all sides of him was a little too much for Zachary. Once we got to the end zone where it was a little quieter he seemed to enjoy himself.
Although the game was an atrocity, we had a lot of fun because Jeremy flew done for the game on a business trip and we got to spend some time with him. Marianne and I are still trying to figure out how we can get he and his family back to Texas. We miss having them here to play with. Anyhow below are the pictures we took at the game.

Do we see a pattern?
Somehow I've been able to catch this activity on camera quite a bit. When do I get my nap?? :) Good thing they are both cute, because if they weren't, I might not let this slide so much!!!

Hawaii 2008
This summer has been full of lots of fun adventures. We recently got back from a trip to Hawaii with my (Marianne) family. All of the siblings and their spouses went to Oahu. And for a family with 7 siblings, it's amazing in and of itself that this got accomplished. We stayed in a house on the North shore of the island and had A LOT of fun. Zachary got to take the trip too--he was too little to leave home :)!! We had sooo much fun. Thanks everyone for the GREAT trip, and a SPECIAL thanks to Jeremy and Cami for setting it up (they made it all possible). We got to boogie board, snorkel, hang out on the beach, and do all the great things that come along with a trip to Hawaii. So when are we going to do it again? Mom and Dad, we missed you but are excited for what you are doing on your mission in England!
Here is everyone, well almost everyone, I guess just parts of some people too, but good enough! This was at a luau at the PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center). Getting a picture with everyone was a harder task than you would expect.
I thought this was a cute picture of Zachary at the beach
On the beach! Can't get any better than this!
Some more fun pictures are in the slideshow. Just looking at these makes me want to go back!

Swimming & Cousins

While in St. George, we took Zachary for his first swim in Aunt Tina's pool. He loved it! Took him a minute to figure out why his bath was a little larger and colder than normal, but quickly adjusted.

Happy 4th of July!
We had a great Fourth of July in St George with the Hafens. Mom and Zachary got to experience their first plane ride together. Zachary did pretty well, not too fussy. It took Zachary a day to adjust to having all his aunts, uncles & cousins around and all the noise that comes with it, but soon after that he was doing fine and even started chimming in with his own screaming noises. It was a great weekend.

Cry Lip, Funny Hats & Mr. Foamy Mouth
So it's been a while since our last post. We've been busy taking so many pictures that we have neglected to post any of them. So here are a few of the latest.
Zachary's Cry Lip. This lip is the first indicator that things are not right. The lip is then followed by tears and if you're lucky a cute baby snort.
The other day we discovered all of these fun hats in one of Zachary's drawers that Aunt Tina and cousin Calvin gave him. So we thought we would have a little fashion show with them.

Zachary has also reached the fun Slobber stage of life. After these pictures were taken we decided it was time to implement the bib strategy to prevent from having to change his shirt every 10 minutes. We have also given him the fun nickname "Mr. Foamy Mouth"

Any similarities?
So, I've been looking through some old photographs today, and came across this photo of Julianne and I. Do you see any similarities to the picture of our boys? We are sitting on opposite sides, but still, you catch the drift!

Cousin Jack's first trip to Texas
Julianne and Jack visited us in Texas for ten days! We had lots of fun, it was sad when they had to go back home. Here is a run down of the fun times we had!
This is on our way back to our house from the airport. It took us a bit to figure out how to get both car seats working in the car, but we managed to make it work!
Because Julianne and I are twins, we had to dress our boys at least one day like twins, however, I don't think anyone bought it. What do you think, could they pass as twins?
One night we took the boys on a walk and had a barbecue. Here are some pictures from our walk.
We got some good smiles out of Zachary at the mall . . . hmmmm, maybe he likes shopping!!!
And of course, we had to do the diaper pictures. As you can tell, the boys loved our antics.
Thanks Julianne and Jack for coming to visit us! We loved having you here and can't wait until we get to see you again in June in Vegas!
